From Nepal. Did my Masters and Phd in computer science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.. Now, working as a senior data scientist at Metropolitan council of Twin cities.
- I'd like to solve the problems in Natual Language Processing and Computer Vision mainly using deep learning. But since I'm working now, I mostly deal with the tabular data and classical machine learning.
- I think about the ways to improve the representational capacity of deep model for textual and image data.
- Sometimes, I contemplate the question "are the statistical models based on neural networks alone, enough for general AI? or should we bring the natural evolution into the mix?". Haven't found the answer yet, obviously.
- Follows Machester United.
- I'd like to think myself as a spiritual person. Have read and followed Osho in the past.
- In January 2024, I attended a 10-day vipassana meditation course in Pecatonica, Illinois.
- This year, I've set up a reading challenge on goodreads to read at least 25 books but I'm very far behind completing it.
- I am a novice piano and ukulele player.
- Couple of years back, I started doing some travel vlogging. I haven't made vidoes lately though.
